The Dallas County Coaching Summit is an exclusive learning community for campus and district-based professionals whose roles primarily involve leveraging instructional coaching to support teacher growth and development, ultimately leading to improved student outcomes.
The Dallas County Coaching Summit is a cross-district learning community for educators who support teachers through coaching and instructional leadership. All educators who coach at least one teacher, including instructional coaches, demonstration teachers, cooperating or mentor teachers, content facilitators and coordinators, assistant principals, and principals, are welcome to participate.
Given the high percentage of early-career and uncertified teachers across Dallas County, strong coaching systems are critical to improving instructional quality and student outcomes. DCCS is designed to build the capacity of those leading this work, ensuring teachers receive consistent, high-quality support aligned to district priorities and HQIM implementation.
Through research-based professional learning and collaboration, participants strengthen their ability to observe instruction, deliver actionable feedback, and support teachers in implementing high-quality instruction every day.

Both new participants and returning DCCS participants who would like to build on their learnings from last year are encouraged to register.

Can someone from any district or charter apply, or is it for certain school districts only?
Eligible Dallas County districts:
Does someone have to be an instructional coach to apply?
No, the Dallas County Coaching Summit welcomes all roles that heavily focus on coaching, including demonstration teachers, instructional coaches, content facilitators, cooperating or mentor teachers, coordinators, assistant principals, and principals. We recognize that the level of coaching responsibility may vary across districts. Nominated individuals should spend at least a portion of their time supporting teachers through observation, feedback, and other coaching structures such as PLCs and professional development.
What happens if I am unable to attend one or more of the sessions?
This Summit is selective and session participation is mandatory. Please indicate in the nomination form if you have an extenuating circumstance and we will work to accommodate you.
Who facilitates the sessions?
We are proud to partner with SustainED Leaders, who will be delivering both coaching pedagogy professional development in the morning and role-specific professional development in the afternoon.
