Commit to Outcomes

Selective fellowship in public K-12 leadership

The Commit to Outcomes Fellowship is a premier paid leadership opportunity, targeting Dallas County’s highest potential leaders who have long-term aspirations to serve in senior cabinet positions within regional public school districts and charter networks. This fellowship was launched in the ‘25- ‘26 school year, with our inaugural cohort of fellows graduating in February ‘26.

This Fellowship brings together a diverse cohort of central office leaders, from academics to finance to operations, who are ready to deepen their impact and prepare for future cabinet-level leadership.

Led by Dr. Jeannie Stone, former Superintendent of Richardson ISD, 2019 Texas Superintendent of the Year, and current Superintendent-in-Residence at Commit, the Fellowship equips leaders with the mindset, skillset, and support to drive measurable outcomes within their systems.

About the fellowship

The Commit to Outcomes Fellowship aims to identify an elite group of mid-career central office leaders from across Dallas County who aspire to further develop within their profession and ultimately fill future seats within their respective superintendent’s leadership cabinets.

Apply now to join this highly selective, six-month leadership fellowship, designed to help grow a generation of district leaders who are better positioned to meaningfully advance student outcomes across Dallas County.

The Fellowship includes a structured capstone experience, introduced early in the program, in which fellows apply their learning to a real, outcomes-aligned challenge within their district or organization. Fellows will receive guidance throughout the capstone and will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the conclusion of the program.

Facilitator

Dr. Jeannie Stone

Dr. Jeannie Stone will meet with the cohort monthly to inspire, buildleadership competencies, and expose fellows to prominent education, business, and non-profit leaders. Dr. Stone is committed to mentoring highly effective, passionate leaders who are essential to success for all students.

Who should apply?

Ideal applicants are Dallas County central office leaders who wake up every morning with a passion to move outcomes for students. The vision of the Fellowship is to strategically grow cohorts of leaders who are prepared to fill future cabinet-level positions. Ideal candidates are already demonstrating their ability to “own the outcome” in areas such as principal development and supervision, ELA and Math curriculum, CCMR programming, and postsecondary readiness, access and completion, other key system-level functions, including finance, human capital, and operations.

Approximately 30 fellows will be chosen to engage in rich, in-person experiences intended to build capacity and deepen their understanding of data-informed strategies to address the underlying root causes behind current outcomes, refine their change management approaches, increase their knowledge of current education policy and advocacy approaches, and further develop their outcomes-based execution. Fellows will hear from speakers around the region (from both the for-profit and non-profit sectors) and will also learn about the expansive non-profit infrastructure that has been established in our region to support district and school leadership in advancing educational outcomes.

Applicants must have

  • A strong demonstrated track record of performance
  • Have served at least 18 months in their current role
  • Secure support of their superintendent or deputy superintendent due to the time commitment requirements of the Fellowship.

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee who will take into consideration the applicant’s experience, performance track record, desire to grow in leadership, references, and potential for future impact.
